PDF Margin Checker

Inspect PDF page boxes and understand what each boundary means.

KNOW YOUR BOUNDARIES

Look at the page boxes.

◌ Stays on your device. Inputs are processed in this browser and are not uploaded.

Geometry inspection only. This diagram does not render page artwork, measure visible content margins, execute PDF scripts or prove print compliance. Boxes use unrotated PDF coordinates; rotation is reported separately. Missing optional boxes use PDF fallback rules and are labeled below.

10 MiB · 200 pages · 12-second worker timeout. Encrypted/damaged PDFs are unsupported. No PDF is uploaded.

A FEW SIMPLE STEPS

How to use it

  1. Choose a PDF within the documented file limits.
  2. Inspect the available page boxes for each page.
  3. Compare guides and check your printer’s requirements.

A CONCRETE EXAMPLE

A page may have a MediaBox larger than its TrimBox to allow space outside the intended finished size.

Know the limits

Page boxes describe document geometry. They do not measure the distance between visible artwork and an edge, or prove print compliance.

A good question

Can a page box tell me the actual content margin?

No. Actual content-margin analysis requires inspecting page content, which is outside this tool’s stated scope.
