DATA & DEVELOPMENT

JSON to TypeScript Converter

Turn a JSON example into a readable starting point for TypeScript types.

A SHAPE FOR YOUR DATA

From JSON to types.

◌ Stays on your device. Inputs are processed in this browser and are not uploaded.

256 KiB · 10,000 values · 40 nesting levels. Observed arrays of objects merge missing fields as optional. Empty arrays infer unknown; null remains null. A sample cannot prove every valid shape.

A FEW SIMPLE STEPS

How to use it

  1. Paste valid JSON and choose a root type name.
  2. Review inferred nested objects and array unions.
  3. Copy or download the TypeScript output and check it in your project.

A CONCRETE EXAMPLE

Examples such as [{"id":1},{"id":2,"label":"Note"}] can indicate an optional label field across the observed objects.

Know the limits

One JSON sample cannot reveal every valid shape or business rule. Inferred TypeScript types do not validate data at runtime.

A good question

Can this infer every possible value from a sample?

No. Review unions, missing fields, nullability, and domain rules against your actual data.
